You are eligible for the NDIS if

you:

Under 65 years and are non indigenous or 

you are under 50 years and are Aboriginal or 

Torres Strait Islander when you make your 

application. 

are an Australian Citizen or resident or 

permanent visa holder. 

and meet the disability or early intervention 

requirements. 

You are eligible for My aged Care

If you are over 65 years and are non indigenous or 

you are over 50 years and are Aboriginal or Torres 

Strait Islander you will not be eligible for the NDIS. 

In most cases, you will receive support through the 

Commonwealth aged care system.
